There have been a series of ATM explosions over the last several years by thieves in Philadelphia.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are investigating an explosion at an ATM in North Philadelphia early Tuesday morning.
It happened at the United Gas Station on the 2800 block of North Broad Street around 5:45 a.m., according to Philadelphia police.
Two men were seen fleeing the scene.
The police bomb squad was notified, and the area has been cordoned off.
