Police investigating after man fatally shot in West Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A shooting is under investigation in West Philadelphia.

Police say they responded to reports of a shooting in the unit block of South Salford Street just before 7 a.m. Sunday.

Upon arrival, officers located a man suffering from gunshot wounds.

Police transported the victim to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

So far, no arrests have been made.

Police continue to investigate.
