Police investigating shooting near rec center in Philadelphia's East Mount Airy section

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Detectives in Philadelphia are also piecing together clues from an overnight shooting near a rec center in East Mount Airy.

Police responded to the 5600 block of Ardleigh Street around 12:30 a.m. on Friday.

Officers found the remnants of gunfire, but no victim.

Authorities say a 25-year old male victim showed up at Einstein Hospital with gunshots to the legs and back, and is in critical condition.

He was transported by a private vehicle that arrived with bullet holes, according to police.

The driver is being questioned by the police.

A witness told detectives they heard an argument before the gunshots.
