Police seek assistance solving 2021 murder of man in North Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia Police are seeking the public's help in solving a crime that has gone unsolved years later.

"This happened way back in 2021, we're hoping that in that interim period somebody remembers something," says John Appledorn of the Citizens Crime Commission.

Edward Glover was shot and killed along the 1500 block of North 18th Street in North Philadelphia back on February 16th, 2021.

Police got the call for reports of gunfire just after 8:30 p.m. that night.

Glover had been shot numerous times.

"Recovered from the scene were four 9mm fired cartridge casings, and three .380 caliber fired cartridge casings," says Appledorn.

The deadly shooting happened just blocks from Glover's home on North 17th Street.

Despite the violence, police have no leads on the case and need someone to step forward.

"The police would like to get help, you know after all that time relationships disintegrate maybe now someone is willing to come forward to help solve the case," says Appledorn.

Up to $20,000 in reward money is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in this case.

All calls will remain anonymous.
