Police suspended for slapping homeless man

A Fort Lauderdale police officer has been suspended after being seen in a video that shows him slapping a homeless man.

Victor Ramirez was off duty when authorities say he followed Bruce Lair and pushed him to the ground and slapped him.

Lair says he was just asking to use the bathroom at the time and was arrested for trespassing.

He hopes the shove and slap to the face he received leads to more than a slap on the wrist for the officer.

City officials say a full investigation is now underway.
