Powerful storm leaves behind damage in New Jersey

NEW JERSEY (WPVI) -- The tri-state area was hit with strong storms Friday night, some leaving behind a trail of damage.

In Hackensack, New Jersey, large trees were uprooted and strewn across neighborhood blocks.

There were also downed wires, power outages and property with plenty of damage.

Crews are working to cut through and clear the trees.
