'RAIN - A Beatles Christmas Tribute' making its regional premiere

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- The Fab Four is returning to the area for the holidays!

The popular and nostalgic show "RAIN: A Tribute to the Beatles" is coming to Wilmington with a brand new Christmas show.

It stars a Montgomery County musician, who has been playing John Lennon in this show for more than 25 years.

"We've always stuck to just doing the Beatles the exact possible way we can," says Steve Landes, who has been stepping into the iconic musical shoes of John Lennon since 1998 with RAIN, the Beatles tribute band.

This Friday, the Lansdale native and his Beatles are getting into the holiday spirit with a brand new show.

"We're just taking that to the next level with what would they do if they were doing a Christmas show," Landes says. "The Beatles music has such a positive, uplifting message. What's more Christmas than that?"

The show is a seasonal blend of Beatles classics and festive favorites.

"You're going to get all of your Beatles favorites, all the big hits, all of those songs that you want to sing along with and share with your family," Landes says. "The other half is sort of our interpretation of classic Christmas songs and how would they have interpreted them."

Landes says he can't wait to bring this new show to the home crowd just in time for the holidays.

"Every time I get to go perform in the Philly area, it's like a homecoming," he says. "It's like a family reunion."

"RAIN - A Beatles Christmas Tribute" is making its regional premiere at The Playhouse on Rodney Square in Wilmington for one night only, Friday, November 28. Click here to learn more.
