
PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are looking for the suspects who pistol-whipped a resident during a home invasion in Southwest Philadelphia.
The incident happened around 12:30 a.m. on Thursday, on the 2600 block of Massey Street.
Investigators say a 33-year-old man was approached by an armed suspect as he was entering his home and demanded that he open the door.
That's when two other suspects followed them into the home.
While inside, a 55-year-old resident confronted the intruders, which led to a physical altercation.
The suspects pistol-whipped the man multiple times on the head and back, and then took off in a gray or black pickup truck.
The victim was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center for treatment. His condition has not been released.
The 33-year-old man was not injured.
Investigators say nothing was stolen from inside the home.
No arrests have been made.
The investigation remains ongoing.
