Suspect sought for home invasion and sex assault in the Kensington section of Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are looking for the man accused in a home invasion and sex assault.

Officers released an image of the suspect, 26-year-old Lee Johnson, on Tuesday.

It happened around 5:30 a.m. on June 4 in the 2200 block of East Somerset Street in the Kensington section of the city.

According to police, the adult victim reported that she awoke to find an unknown male suspect inside her residence who sexually assaulted her. The victim fought back, causing the suspect to flee through the rear of the property.

In addition to the assault, several personal belongings were reported stolen from the residence before the suspect fled, police said.

Johnson faces charges of Aggravated Indecent Assault, Burglary, Unlawful Restraint, and related offenses.

He has a last known address on the 6300 block of Horrocks Street.

Johnson was most recently seen near the 6100 block of Algon Avenue, police said.

Action News has learned police are investigating whether Johnson is involved in other sexual assaults.
