PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Federal officials say they have solved a 26-year-old cold case and arrested the man accused of carrying out a mob-style killing in South Philadelphia.

Richard Leidy, 60, was charged Tuesday with murder, attempted murder and related offenses for the fatal shooting of Guerino "Gino" Marconi.

The shooting happened on April 10, 1999, outside Marconi's home on the 2400 block of South 20th Street in South Philadelphia.

Marconi's girlfriend, Patricia Miley, critically wounded in the attack.

Former Action News reporter Denise James covered the shooting back in 1999.

Authorities say Leidy was arrested at his home, just one block from the crime scene.
