Rutgers Camden expanding its influence

CAMDEN, N.J. (WPVI) -- There was a lot of excitement on Rutgers University's Camden campus Tuesday.

A new state of the art nursing and science building is officially under construction, here at 5th and federal streets.

It was a ceremonial signing of a steel beam that will be lifted atop the construction site.

City and university officials were on hand to sign the beam and celebrate, what will be a 62 million dollar world class teaching and research facility in Camden.

The new nursing and science building is expected to open next summer.
