MIDDLE TWP., NJ (WPVI) -- The search is over for a wallaby that escaped in southern New Jersey.
The Cape May County Sheriff's Office posted on social media Tuesday that the animal escaped in the Cape May Court House section of Middle Township, New Jersey.
They updated their post several hours later, saying the wallaby -- named Cletus -- was "safely recovered" after escaping from the Cape May Zoo.

The sheriff's office said it worked with the Cape May County Park/Zoo, as well as the Middle Township Police Department, during the search for the wallaby.
