PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- After nine days on strike, unionized workers at the Sheraton hotel in Center City reached a deal for a new contract.
The tentative agreement includes increases in wages, pension, gratuity, and healthcare.
The deal brings the hourly wage to $30 an hour by the year 2028 for employees who do not receive tips, increases the gratuity for employees who staff banquets to 18%, and improves access to health coverage for dependents.
If the deal is ratified, workers will be back on the job Tuesday.
