TRENTON, N.J. (WPVI) -- Police are investigating after seven people were hurt in a late-night shooting in Trenton, New Jersey.
Detectives spent all night Tuesday combing through a lot of evidence at the large crime scene.
Police responded to Centre and Furman streets around 10:30 p.m. after receiving a ShotSpotter alert for numerous rounds.
When officers arrived, they found several victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
Two are said to be in critical condition. Five others are also being treated at Capital Health Regional Medical Center.
At least 35 shell casings could be seen on the ground near the scene.
What looks to be a child's backpack, along with sneakers, were seen on the ground behind the scene tape.
The Action Cam also spotted a car with a shattered back window at the corner near the cluster of shell casings.
Chopper 6 was above the shooting scene, where police could be seen dealing with a large area.
They found another cluster of evidence on Furman Street, closer to Lamberton, and were circling more spots on the ground, likely where additional shell casings landed.
That area was a few feet from an SUV that had a shattered back window, which brings the total to at least two vehicles struck by bullets.
The Mercer County Shooting Response Team is on scene and conducting the initial investigation.
