Speeding drivers to begin receiving warnings along Broad Street from newly installed speed cameras

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Drivers caught on camera speeding along Broad Street will begin to receive warnings.

Speed cameras are posted at 15 locations, from Old York Road down to the stadiums, in South Philadelphia.

A 60-day warning period begins Monday.

Then, starting November 14, drivers clocked at 11 miles-per-hour above the 25 mile-per-hour speed limit will be hit with a $100 fine.

City leaders say there were more than 200 serious or fatal crashes along Broad Street from 2020 through 2024.
