Suspect identified in fatal shooting outside NE Philadelphia store

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police have identified a suspect in a fatal shooting outside a convenience store in Northeast Philadelphia.

Michael White, 23, is currently wanted on an active arrest warrant for the murder of 35-year-old Vaswani Brown.

White, who stands 5'11" tall and weighs about 250 pounds, should be considered armed and dangerous, police say.

The shooting happened just after 7 p.m. on Wednesday.

Investigators said White and Brown were seen on surveillance arguing inside the Fresh Mini Market at Summerdale and Magee avenues.

The altercation spilled outside, with White allegedly opening fire as Brown got into his SUV.

Brown was rushed to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, where he later died.

Police found a gun belonging to the victim at the shooting scene.
