Suspect wanted after Wilmington shooting leaves man injured

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- Wilmington police are searching for a suspect after a man was shot multiple times Monday afternoon.

The shooting happened around 2 p.m. near the intersection of 8th and Adams streets.

Investigators said officers recovered multiple shell casings at the scene.

Police said the victim was struck several times by gunfire. Several nearby vehicles were also found to be hit by the bullets.

Authorities have not released an update on the victim's condition or what may have led to the shooting.
