READING, Pa. (WPVI) -- Two suspected mail thieves are in custody following a police pursuit in Reading, Berks County.
Jared Ramirez and Joshua Ramos, both of New York, were arrested.
Investigators say a search of their car found about 500 pieces of mail, along with cash, washed checks, multiple bank cards that did not belong to the suspects and a post office master key.
Police do not yet know how they got the post office key.
Investigators also found other tools used to steal mail.
Berks County District Attorney John Adams says most of the mail recovered was Christmas cards, which they plan to put back in the mail so the letters get to their intended recipients in time for the holiday.
