Tabernacle Township reverses decision to cut ties with local rescue squad

TABERNACLE, N.J. (WPVI) -- A Burlington County township has reversed its decision to terminate its contract with the local rescue squad.

The EMS chief of Tabernacle Rescue Squad told Action News that township officials have withdrawn their termination notice, allowing the squad to continue serving the community.

The rescue squad came under scrutiny earlier this year during its transition from a volunteer-based organization to one staffed by paid personnel.
