Thieves steal at least $40K worth of Pokémon cards in brazen robbery at NJ trading card store

ROCHELLE PARK, N.J. (WPVI) -- Surveillance video captured a brazen robbery at trading card store in North Jersey.

The store's owner says a trio of thieves stole at least $40,000 worth of Pokémon cards.

It happened Thursday at the "Big Pack Hobby Shop" in Rochelle Park.

Police say the heist was carried out in less than 2 minutes.

Authorities say thefts like these have been on the rise as demand for collectible cards grows.
