Upper Darby School District to buy now-closed Delaware County Memorial Hospital

UPPER DARBY, Pa. (WPVI) -- The Upper Darby School District has agreed to buy the now-closed Delaware County Memorial Hospital.

During a bankruptcy hearing on Monday with its owner, Prospect Medical Holdings, a judge approved the sale for $600,000.

The deal must be closed by August 13 or Prospect will be able to abandon the property.

The hospital shut down in November 2022.
