Urban League breaks ground on Well-Being Center

A major investment in West Philadelphia is taking shape.

The Urban League of Greater Philadelphia broke ground Friday on a new $8M Center for Well-Being & Headquarters.

Leaders say the project will transform a vacant building into a one-stop community hub offering free healthcare, workforce development, housing assistance, and youth programs.

Officials say the center is expected to serve more than 20,000 Philadelphians.
