Jersey shore police officer charged with invasion of privacy

VENTNOR, N.J. (WPVI) -- A Ventnor City police officer is facing charges of invasion of privacy and official misconduct.

The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office announced the arrest of Officer Ryan Bonanni, 24, on Monday.

Bonanni is accused of sharing explicit surveillance footage of a woman who was in a holding cell following her arrest in July. Prosecutors say he distributed the videos to others via the social messaging platform Snapchat.

The incident remains under investigation.
