PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Surveillance video shows two young men with their faces covered walking past a Juniata home before returning moments later to throw rocks through the front windows, frightening a 91-year-old resident inside.
The incident happened Saturday night outside the home of Inez Molina, according to her family.
Her son, Frank Molina, said it is the second time in four months that someone has targeted the house in a similar way.
"This isn't fun and games. We have to be better. I want the community's help to find out who is actually doing this, and it needs to stop," Frank Molina said.
The situation is especially concerning for the family because of Inez Molina's age and health. She is dealing with multiple conditions, including dementia and heart disease, her son said.
"This is an elderly woman. It's my mother. She's disabled. There's no one here. I mean, it's just baffling the people who take advantage of elderly people," he said.
Inez Molina described the moment the windows were shattered, saying she was sitting in a chair with her back to the window when the rocks struck. At first, she feared something even more dangerous.
"In my mind, I didn't know for sure, but I ran into my bedroom. I was so afraid. I don't know why they would do this," she said.
Frank Molina said he is determined to find those responsible and emphasized the seriousness of the incidents.
"We are treating it as a crime. So, just leave it alone. There's no reason for you to destroy other people's property. I would just say go find yourself a hobby," he said.
Investigators and the Molina family are asking anyone who recognizes the individuals seen in the video to contact police.
