Volunteer applications open for 2026 FIFA World Cup in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Volunteer applications are now officially open for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in South Philadelphia.

The city is looking for 3,000 people to help in a variety of areas.

To be selected, volunteers must be 18 or older, pass a background check, and be able to work eight shifts during the tournament from June 11 to July 19, 2026

Applications will be open online through October.
