Water main break in Wissahickon section of Philadelphia leaves 70 homes without water

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A water main break in the Wissahickon section of Philadelphia is impacting water service for dozens of residents Saturday morning.

The Philadelphia Water Department was notified around 8 a.m. about a water main break on the 100 block of Osborn Street.

Officials say 70 homes are currently without water service as a result.

Traffic is being detoured around the area while repair work continues.

The water department said crews are working to restore water service as soon as possible.
