Woman in custody after man shot while inside Jeep in West Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A man is recovering after police say he was shot inside a car in West Philadelphia.

A woman who was inside the vehicle with him was taken into custody, according to police.

Officers were called to the 5900 block of Vine Street just after 3 a.m. on Thursday.

Investigators say the male victim was found shot twice inside this Jeep. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Police also recovered a weapon at the scene.

There has been no word yet on what led up to the shooting.
