NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The Roosevelt Boulevard is getting a $5.8 million facelift and the work started Monday night.
From now until the end of October, workers will be repaving the northbound and southbound inside lanes of Route 1 between 9th Street and the Bucks County line.
Work on the northbound inside lines kicked off at 7:30 p.m.
The Boulevard will close weeknights from 7:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. through August 15th.
Traffic will be diverted to the outside lanes.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time for travel through the construction area because slowdowns will occur.
