2 rescued after 3-vehicle crash on Route 422 in Montco

UPPER PROVIDENCE, Pa. (WPVI) -- Two people had to be rescued after a three vehicle crash on Route 422 in Upper Providence, Pennsylvania.

The crash caused a nasty pileup after the vehicles collided before 1:30 a.m. Thursday in the westbound lanes.

The victims' injuries were serious, but non-life threatening after being trapped in the wreckage.

The road was closed while the crash was investigated then cleared.

So far, it is unclear what caused the vehicles to collide.
