Emergency repairs will delay the start of the school year for some students in Northeast Philadelphia.

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Emergency repairs will delay the start of the school year for some students in Northeast Philadelphia.

Serious structural problems were detected at Solis-Cohen Elementary at 7001 Horrocks Street.

The repairs mean that first through fourth graders will now start their school year on Wednesday, September 16th.

The rest of the district begins on Tuesday.

Fifth and sixth graders from Solis-Cohen will start on Tuesday, but will be relocated to Wilson Middle School.
