VINELAND, NJ (WPVI) -- A second person has died after two double shootings in Vineland that authorities say were connected.

The victim, 39-year-old Arthur Rease, suffered a gunshot wound to the back early Monday.

He was flown to Cooper University Hospital where he died of his injuries Tuesday morning.

This shooting was one of three incidents within a three hour timespan that police say were all connected.

Authorities were first called to the 700 block of Humbert Street around 11:30 p.m. Sunday for a possible home invasion. No injuries were reported.

Just before 1:00 a.m. Monday, as Vineland police investigated the home invasion, they were called to the 800 block of Montrose Street where officers found two shooting victims.

One of them, 21-year-old Jonathan Candelerio, later died at the hospital.

A second victim, who was shot in the ear, was treated at Inspira Hospital and released.

Then around 2:25 a.m., Vineland police responded to the 500 block of East Park Avenue for a second shooting.

Arriving officers found two male victims inside a home, one was Arthur Rease.

A second male was driven to Cooper with a gunshot wound to the foot. He is in stable condition.

Police have identified the two other victims in the shootings as 41-year-old Willie Rease and 31-year-old Sharrod Jones.

"It was kind of scary, especially when you hear 2:30 in the morning 'Bang! Bang! Bang!' It was scary," neighbor John Hanby said.

Hanby says he heard about five gunshots and later discovered that one of the bullets went right through his apartment.

"Missed my water tank by (a little), hit the shower, went through the shower, went through the kitchen wall, and hit the gas stove," Hanby said.

Police say they know who they're looking for.

They say the victims and the suspects have had prior contact with the police.
