PORT RICHMOND (WPVI) -- A 22-year-old man is in critical condition after being shot inside a corner store in Philadelphia's Port Richmond section.

It happened after 8 p.m. Tuesday in the 2200 block of Bellmore Street.

Police say the victim was standing by the door when gunfire erupted in the street.

Bullets shattered glass in the door, shards of which cut an employee at the register.

Investigators were checking area surveillance video for clues.
