PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- At City Hall on Thursday, Councilwoman Maria Quinones-Sanchez introduced a bill challenging Mayor Jim Kenney's controversial soda tax.

The bill would gradually phase out a portion of the tax on sweetened beverages through 2021.

While the specifics of the legislation are still unclear, it seems council members from both sides of the political spectrum are in favor of the bill.
