Substitute teacher charged with distributing child porn

MANCHESTER, N.J. (WPVI) -- A substitute teacher in New Jersey is charged with distributing child pornography.

65-year-old Modesto Torres of Manchester was arrested Tuesday and charged with one count each of possessing and distributing child pornography.

The arrest comes at the conclusion of an investigation by the Ocean County High Tech Crime Unit and the Manchester Township Police Department.

Authorities say the substitute teacher most recently worked at Manchester Township High School.

The school district superintendent says Torres has since been removed from the district's list of substitute teachers.
