Police: Man stabbed by intruder in Tacony

TACONY (WPVI) -- Police say a man was stabbed by an intruder at his home in Philadelphia's Tacony section.

It happened around 8:00 p.m. Wednesday in the 4200 block of Hellerman Street.

Authorities say the victim was coming home when he was stabbed.

He was taken to an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect fled the scene.

Police continue to investigate.
