A man described as the nephew of Mexican drug kingpin Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzmán has been arrested, Mexico's top security official said Tuesday.
Hurricane Debby left behind not only a trail of deadly destruction in the Southeast last week but also more than 100 pounds of narcotics, discovered along Florida's shores, authorities said.
Investigators say they used objects like speakers to conceal the drugs as they were shipped through the postal service.
A Good Samaritan found the packages of drugs on the beach and called authorities, Border Patrol said.
Cocaine levels were around three times higher in muscle tissue than liver tissue, according to the study, while female sharks had higher cocaine concentrations in muscle tissue compared to males.
Police say they confiscated items used to make improvised explosive devices, like flash powder and a half stick of dynamite.
