Video from passengers shows a man getting duct-taped after a flight to Chicago was disrupted Tuesday.
The slide hit a house, causing damage to the roof shingles, downspout and a kitchen window screen.
Police said the male passenger walked onto the wing of Flight 2478 and then slid down onto the airfield, police said.
The judge who handled the case was shocked it took three months to catch the man.
Gov. JB Pritzker and Mayor Lori Lightfoot called the delays at O'Hare "unacceptable" and demanded that the Trump administration take action immediately.
