Thief steals $4k in electronics from cellphone store in Port Richmond

Philadelphia police are searching for a thief who got away with over $4,000 dollars worth of electronics from a Port Richmond cellphone store.

PORT RICHMOND (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are searching for a thief who got away with over $4,000 dollars worth of electronics from a Port Richmond cellphone store.

It happened at the T-Mobile store on the 3600 block of Aramingo Avenue back on October 6.

Surveillance video captured the suspect walking into the store shortly before 9 p.m.

He can be seen ripping several cell phones and tablets right from the display shelf and placing them into a red plastic bag before casually walking out the front door.

The stolen electronics are valued at $4,640 dollars.

Police describe the suspect as a black male, 6'0" tall in his mid-20s. He was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and white sneakers.
