Uber profits continue to rise with help of investments

Uber appears to be driving in the fast lane.

The ride-hailing service says its bookings are up 41-percent when compared to this time last year.

Uber says its revenues are also up more than 60-percent, to just under $3-billion.

The company says investments such as "Uber Eats" has helped to boost its bottom line.
