Fleet Week kicks off in New York City

NEW YORK CITY (WPVI) -- Wednesday marks the start of Fleet Week 2019.

Ships have been parading into the New York Harbor since early this morning.

Fleet Week celebrates the work sailors, marines and members of the coast guard do at sea.

The event includes everything from ship tours to specially-themed movies.

This is the 31st year of Fleet Week.
