PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- In just a few days, thousands of people will line up for the annual Independence Blue Cross Broad Street Run.
Even more will fill the sidewalks to cheer them on.

Philadelphia's most iconic 10-miler welcomes runners of all ages, backgrounds, and varying physical abilities.
And many participants will be running for the person right beside them.
As a group with Philly Achilles embarks on a training run through the city of Philadelphia, a simple shoelace ties them together. It provides a sense of support for the athletes from the local chapter of Achilles International.
The organization works to transform the lives of people living with visual disabilities, offering them guides to help along the way.
