PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Those summer nights will be here soon! Action News' Jessica Boyington checks out two bars with great outdoor dining options in this week's Top 6.
The American tavern, Standard Tap, has been pumping out beers and burgers in the same two hundred year old building in Northern Liberties for over twenty years! Sip on an espresso martini on the covered open air patio while dining on their menu ranging from a daily selection of oysters to vegan watermelon crudo to mushroom risotto.
What I loved:
-Classic Burger (with a pretzel roll and garlic aioli)
-Beignets (cinnamon and sugar dusted)
You can feel the breeze and enjoy the views of Washington Square Park while dining on PJ Clarke's outdoor patio. This Upscale American pub has a great happy hour and brunch on the weekends, perfect for spritz sipping and Irish breakfast platters. They're famous for their burgers and cheesecake, and one of the few spots in the city you can find buck-a-shuck oysters.
What I loved:
-Japanese Pancakes
-Lobster Roll Options (Maine or Connecticut!)
-Oysters Saint Mary
-Cheesecake (with fresh cherry compote)
