'Resilient Students Network' bridges the gap for college students

BLUE BELL, Pennsylvania (WPVI) -- The 'Resilient Students Network' (RSN), founded in 2019, helps bridge the gap for college students facing food insecurity, housing needs, transportation access, and more.

They partner with the 'Stock Up for Success' food pantry at Montgomery County Community College (MC3) by providing additional food to select students every other week.

RSN is just one partner among many that helps the Wellness Center at MC3 make ends meet for students.

In 2025, a student basic needs survey was conducted by the The Hope Center for College, Community, and Justice at Temple University.

597 responded to an email questionnaire that revealed the importance of this work.

50% said they have "experienced at least one of the following: food insecurity, housing insecurity, or homelessness."

33% said they have "experienced limited or uncertain availability of nutritionally adequate and safe food, or the ability to acquire such food in a socially acceptable manner in the prior 30 days."

The Resilient Students Network is hoping to grow with the help of donors, volunteers, and community partners to address this need.
