
PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Our first heat wave of the year is possible this week, with forecast highs in the mid-90s through midweek.
TODAY: Sunny, warm and a touch humid, high 90. We'll be close to the record of 92 set back in 1972.
TONIGHT: Warm for mid-May, partly cloudy. Low 66.
MONDAY: Sunny, hot and humid, high 94. This would tie the record of 94 set back in 1962.
TUESDAY: Record tying warmth with sunny skies, high 96. This would tie the record of 97 set back in 1962.
An isolated shower or storm can't be ruled out through the afternoon/evening mainly northwest of I-95.
WEDNESDAY: Hot and very humid, high 96. With a cold front approaching from the west we'll watch for scattered showers and storms later in the evening and at night.
THURSDAY: A few showers early may linger well south of the city. Otherwise, it's much cooler with clouds and some sun, high 70.
FRIDAY: Easterly wind helps lock in more clouds than sun, high 66.
SATURDAY: Mostly cloudy with showers possible, high 69.
