2 displaced in West Deptford house fire

WEST DEPTFORD, N.J. (WPVI) -- Two people were displaced after a fire damaged a home in West Deptford, New Jersey.

It happened around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the unit block of Cumberland Avenue.

Firefighters were met with flames coming from the one story home upon arrival.

The view from Chopper 6 showed smoke billowing from the roof.

The fire was placed under control by 8:30 p.m.

Fortunately no injuries are reported.

The Red Cross is assisting those residents who were displaced.

No word on the cause of the fire.
