
WISSINOMING (WPVI) -- A 41-year-old male killed in a shooting in the city's Wissinoming neighborhood has been identified.
The incident happened around 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the 4000 block of East Cheltenham Avenue.
Police say that Benjamin Sheppard was shot twice while trying to get out of his car.
Sheppard was rushed to Aria-Torresdale in critical condition. He was pronounced dead at 2:36 p.m.
His death has been ruled a homicide, police said.
No arrests have been made. No weapons were recovered at the scene.
