Woman struck in hit-and-run in New Castle, Del.

NEW CASTLE, Del. (WPVI) -- A woman is fighting for her life after being struck by a car in New Castle, Delaware.

The accident happened around 10:30 p.m. Thursday along Route 273.

Police say the driver left the woman on the street and kept going.

Medics rushed the woman to Christiana Hospital. She is listed in critical condition.

The impact of the crash left debris on the highway.

Police are searching for the driver.
