"Cougar Town" phone mailbox filled up

April 19, 2011

At long last, for "/*Cougar Town*/" devotees in need of their weekly fix of the cul-de-sac crew, ABC's "Cougar Town" returned with a special episode Monday night after "Dancing with the Stars."

Bobby (Brian Van Holt) and Laurie (Busy Philipps) partnered up in a business venture to bring the gang's favorite game, "Penny Can," to the masses. During the episode, Bobby and Laurie will reveal a phone number that viewers can dial for a chance to speak with a member of the cast or executive producers Bill Lawrence and Kevin Biegel.

When we tried the phone number Monday night during the broadcast, it was impossible to get through. When we tried again Tuesday morning, we got a recorded message from Bobby Cob that his mailbox was full.

The cast and producers plane to answer a phone hooked up to the number (1-855-PENNY-CAN). If you're ever able to get through, you might be able to buy your own regulation Penny Can, or if you speak with show producer Bill Lawrence, you might just get one for free.... If you're ever able to get through.

"Cougar Town" stars /*Courteney Cox*/ as Jules, Christa Miller as Ellie, Busy Philipps as Laurie, Dan Byrd as Travis, Josh Hopkins as Grayson, Ian Gomez as Andy and Brian Van Holt as Bobby.
