Man opens fire on women's shelter in Logan

LOGAN -- Philadelphia police are searching for the man who opened fire on a women's shelter in the Logan section.

Investigators say a man started following a woman inside a Rite Aid store on Windrim Avenue around 2:30 p.m. Thursday.

She noticed the suspect continue to follow her as she walked home to a nearby shelter.

Once the woman was inside, the man fired three shots into the shelter door.

No one was hurt.

The suspect is described as a black male standing 5'9" to 6' tall and weighing 200 lbs. He was clean shaven, wearing a black Nike baseball cap, a Nike t-shirt, dark-colored basketball pants, and a dark backpack.
