CHESTER, Pa. (WPVI) -- One man was killed and at least one other person taken into custody Friday morning after the raid turned violent.

Investigators are still on the scene of a child pornography raid in Chester, 10 hours later, where they are collecting evidence.

Police said at around 6:00 a.m., federal agents were serving a warrant at a home in the 600 block of Highland Avenue.

When authorities entered the home, they said they were confronted by a man with a gun.

Shots were exchanged and the suspect was hit.

He pronounced dead at the scene, according to authorities.

Police said several other people were inside the house at the time, including the suspect's mother.

Asmyra Trusty, a neighbor who captured the aftermath of the shooting on her phone, said the agents brought the mother out of the home in pink pajamas in shock, and placed her in a car.

Neighbors said the family, a man and his parents were quiet, but friendly.

"This is definitely a shock to all of us because ask anyone around here and they'll tell you they were the nicest people around here," said Don Davis.

Neighbors we spoke with said they woke up to the sound of gunfire, and were disturbed to learn about the nature of the raid.

"Too many children run up and down this street," said John Bacon. "I have a lot of nieces and nephews of my own. I hate to see anybody do anything to any children."

The suspect's identity has not yet been released.
